New prints by Amy Sol

Amy Sol has two new prints being released this Saturday, March 19th. “Strings off Dew” is 11.5″ x 15″, and “Midnight was a Gentle Dragon” is 19.5″ x 17″. Both prints are embossed, come with a certificate of authenticity, and signed and numbered in editions of 100. The prints will be available at 2pm Pacific.

“INLE” group show curated by Craola @ Gallery 1988

March 11 marked the openeing of the first group show curated by Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins, a show inspired by Richard Adam’s book Watership Down. Entitled INLE this group shows features work from over 100 artists, and is sure to be one of the standout shows of the year. Virtu Gallery favorites Amy Sol, Brandi Milne, Anthony Ausgang, Audrey Kawasaki, Chet Zar, Martin Wittfooth, Michael Page, Colin Christian, Travis Louie, Eric White, and more contributed some great work that needs to be seen.

“INLE” group show curated by Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins @ Gallery 1988

Opening March 11th at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles is a group show curated by artist Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins. The show is entitled “INLE” and will feature over 100 artists drawing inspiration from Richard Adams’ award winning book, WaterShip Down. The impressive list of participating artists includes: Alex Pardee, Amy Sol (featured), Annie Owens, Anthony Ausgang, Audrey Kawasaki (featured), Brandi Milne (featured), Colin Christian, Brian Despain, Chet Zar, Eric White, Fred Harper, Kris Lewis, Luke Chueh, Ron English, Michael Page (featured), Travis Louie, and many more. Michael Page’s “Into Passing” @ Shooting Gallery

Creep Machine recently added a review of Michael Page’s latest solo exhibition at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco. This new show is called “Into Passing” and is filled with some very impressive works. There was also three limited edition giclee prints available at the show, “Enki’s Green” and “Enki’s Gold” are still up on the galleries site. Coming Soon: “She Entwined” print by Audrey Kawasaki

Coming this Sunday, February 27th @ 1pm Pacific time is a new limited edition print by Audrey Kawasaki. “The print is entitled “She Entwined” and is 16″x20″ print (with a 1/16″ white border included) on smooth cotton rag paper; you also have the option or ordering the print framed which will be 20.25″ x 23.75″. The print is signed and numbered in an edition of 300, and like all of Audrey’s print will most likely sell out in minutes.

Martin Wittfooth on Cover of New American Paintings

Congratulations to Martin Wittfooth. His painting “The Devil’s Playground” has made the cover of the current New American Paintings issue number 92. As stated in one of the most recent posts here, this painting was featured in Martin’s “Gardens” exhibition hat took place at Roq la Rue, and will soon be a limited edition print right here at Virtu Art Gallery.
